Tate Christiansen

SFU guard · Canada U23 3×3 in 2025

From North Vancouver basketball to the NCAA and representing Canada. A guard’s perspective on shooting, decision-making and the next level.

Tate grew up in North Vancouver, developing through Handsworth Secondary and 3D Basketball Academy before joining Simon Fraser University. The 6-foot-4 guard built his game around shooting and reading the floor—skills that helped him make the step from local basketball to NCAA Division II.

In 2024–25, he started all 28 games for SFU. That summer, he represented Canada at the 2025 FIBA U23 3×3 Nations League in Chile, adding international competition to his college experience.

At Axis, Tate brings that perspective to conversations about building a dependable shot, making decisions at game speed and preparing for the demands of college basketball. His background gives players a direct connection to someone who has taken the path they are working toward.
